Dog behaviourist and trainer in teesside

Reactivity, Recall, Aggression, Separation Anxiety - and more

Services

OUR dog training services in teesside & North Yorkshire

We offer a range of dog training services across Teesside and North Yorkshire, from reactivity and behaviour work to puppy training and everyday obedience.

Reactivity Bootcamp

Small Group Training for Reactive Dogs

Our Reactivity Bootcamp is designed for dogs that bark, lunge or react on walks. With a max of 4 dogs per group, we create a controlled environment where your dog can learn to stay calm around other dogs, people and everyday triggers.

This is ideal for dogs showing lead reactivity, frustration or overexcitement in real-world situations.

One - to - One Sessions

Tailored Training for Complex Behaviours

Our one-to-one sessions provide personalised support for dogs with more intense or specific behavioural challenges. This could include reactivity in the home, nervous dogs, separation anxiety or complex triggers.

We build a training plan around your dog and your individual circumstances - giving you clear, practical steps to follow.

Group Classes

Structured Training for Everyday Skills

Our group classes are perfect for building strong foundations including puppy training, recall and heel work.

These sessions help your dog learn to focus, stay calm and neutral in a structured environment - supporting long-term behaviour and preventing future behavioural issues.

About

ABOUT Canine Connections Teesside

Canine Connections Teesside provides professional dog training and behaviour support in Teesside, Whitby, Great Ayton & Surrounding areas. Specialising in reactivity, socialisation and building calm, confident dogs.

Founded by Joe, our approach focuses on understanding behaviour, not just managing it - helping owners create real, lasting change through structured, practical training.

About Joe

Hi, I'm Joe - Dog Behaviourist, Trainer and Founder of Canine Connections Teesside.

I've spent years working hands-on with dogs, including rescuing and rehabilitating 8 of my own. This real-world experience shaped my approach to reactive dog training, behaviour issues and confidence building.

I understand how overwhelming behaviour challenges can feel, especially with so much conflicting advice online. That's why my training focuses on clear guidance, calm methods and helping you understand the "why" behind your dog's behaviour.

Our Mission

To help you build a calmer, more connected relationship with your dog through structured training, support and practical solutions that work in real life.

"Joe is amazing . Have had two sessions with Joe and learnt so much. Freddie’s reactivity towards other dogs and his other little quirks have greatly improved . We will continue to work with Joe so that Freddie can be a confident happy dog . Thank you Joe."

N. Scott

"I 100% recommend Joe and couldn’t thank him enough for his help! Joe has been able to help our rescue dog with her confidence, socialisation and general tasks whilst being patient with us both and having an understanding of what best suits her! Joe has a clear passion for helping dogs and this is shown in his professional manor as well as being patient and always wanting to listen and learn more about the dog!"
